is it the 4.77 gears or the whole pumpkin assembly? you could send it to puddy dad if you really want the tolerances to be correct. other than that i got my 4.56 from Jeff (stratocaster)

If I had a garage and I were a mechanic I would do it myself but it sucks that im not. As far sending my diff somewhere and not having a drivable car its pretty much out of the question.
What tolerances should I be worried about? I thought changing the final gear in the differential is as easy as taking out the old gear and putting in the new one. How much competence is really required?

Ok so I spoke to a professor of mine who knows everyone around here. He suggested a guy called Frank on Antoine near the Ikea. Anyone heard of him?

I called 4 other transmission places and everybody said they can do it but they won't change the gear ratios and they can only use stock parts. So I have nobody to install my final drive. I came from an island with a population of 600,000 and I could find 20 shops that could do something simple. Now im in Houston (4 million or something like that) and there are no tuning shops! Does anyone out there know how to do a differential rebuild and willing to work on my car? I will pay you a reasonable amount.
Im so f...ing frustrated right now.
