Man, I wonder if I should throw that front license plate on now...

It's illegal to tailgate, too, but I don't see the cops pulling over any of the a$$holes that do that to me all the time! This is just another excuse to pull someone over so there is probably cause to look for bigger fish in the car to fry.

Very true Irish, but the very fact that they state that they will "be more strict" on it is what worries me. I mean, I'd rather not even deal with the headache.

F*ck it. They can ticket me all they want, but the damn front license plate is staying off my car.

The latest on the license plate flap is that the law was passed to catch people running the toll gates on toll roads without paying. I have one of the illegal frames on my Diamante though and got a picture in the mail of my license plate and the fine for running the toll gate without an EZ Tag. (Didn't seem to have much of a problem identifying me with the illegal frame.) Had the tag, but forgot to put it on the windshield so they dismissed the fine and just charged me the toll charges (the fine is an additional $5 for every toll gate you go through without the tag). A friend of mine in a Miata got stopped cause he put a small longhorn (Bevo) sticker in the center of his plate. Was told he had a "dirty" plate. Got a warning and had to remove it in front of the state cop.

booooooooooooo

I don't see how it hinders police men identifying the car and the license plate number. I think it's for those F'in retards with the whole plastic frame over the entire plate, trying to hide it. So lame. Can you scream out, "Hey, I'm covering my plate, b/c I'm doing something illegal!"???

I think it's a case of a bunch of tards, bringin heat down on the rest of us. basts.

It is just a way for the state, county, city, etc to make easy money and to give the police an easy reason to stop someone and check them out.

I don't like it, but have to live with it. I also don't like the front plates on cars and think it is bulls--t that we have to have them. All they are good for is to get you # and you go throught a traffic light camera.

Hmm. I think I'll take my chances at least as long as I got my IL plates on my car...
