New Owner!
Hi Everyone,
Just got my 2000 S2K about a week ago and bumped into this cool forum. Car has 48k miles on it and i got it for 13k. Kind of steep for a 12 year old car but I guess the low miles balances it out.
Car has everything stock but one of the first things I would like to do is get an intake. The thing is I really dont know how to fix cars and all and was wondering if someone is willing to help me out or knows a car shop that would install it for a good price. As for as intake...which one would you recommend. I saw someone on craigslist trying to sell a injen k&n intake for $100 bucks. Wondering if its a good deal or whatever.
Any feedback or advice is greatly apperciated!!!
Thanks,
Mike

Hello mike, welcome to the forums
Just to bring you up to speed, bolt on do little to the already high strung motor. To get more power out of the s2000 most of us explore the forced induction route. We're also a community that hold tech days if you want work done to your car. But, if you would like a helping hand 9krevvin and Big Nel are very mechanically inclined and extremely knowledgeable about the s2000 platform, so don't be afraid to ask questions.
Also there has been a lot of seat theft in houston so make sure you have full coverage and seat locks or a garge.
What are your plans for the s2000 and what made you decide on one? Always nice to see new faces !

Thanks Benn,I will look into the forced induction option. Yea ive read and heard that people love to steal the seats so I will have to look into getting some type of seat locks.
As far as plans, I mainly would like to keep it stock, maybe a front lip and a new soft top with a glass window or something. My plastic window sucks and i can not see at all through it. I am going to try to use Plastix this weekend. Not too sure what else I would like to do in the near future.
Thanks for the insight!
