Default needs a tune up or what?

new to forum and did not get much response from introduce yourself catagory...so here goes again...05 with 5k miles when I got it a few months ago...now has 13k...I F-in love it...I know why it runs better with cold air...but it runs really better with cold air and really dissapointing when air is warmer...tune up needed or just S2K SOP...?

Welcome to the forum.Your car had mega low miles,good thing your putting it to use! I really doubt it needs a tune up aside from the usual oil & such.This cool weather lately will make it feel like it has more grunt but thats with all cars.Thats why some people call it turbo car weather! All the air going in is mega cold so going into your motor its more power.Pretty much like an intercooler to say or a very good cold air intake.

You're fine, no tune up needed unless the car isn't running right (sputtering, hesitation, or CEL is on).

Otherwise, the feeling you're getting is just the motor liking colder air (natural).

Cold air removes the heat soak that plagues the s2000. This gives the slugish feeling in warm weather

You need $30,000 worth of engine mods

do a search on s2ki of the following words: "heat soak" and "heat bog"
