Looking for something near reliant but will consider near bw8 & 59. Going back to school so trying to cut as much costs as possible.

I mean 59s & bw8. Trying to stay near work to keep my commute short.

Anyone do cad work? Looking it to it as a career change. Any info is appreciated.

Lonestar has a program for obtaining a cad certification that is only a semester long. But from what a lot of people tell me its a waste of $$$. I am also trying to go back to school and obtain just a simple AAS majoring in mechanical engineering. Biggest obstacle is math! If you want to learn cad find some classes online versus going to an actual class.

I'd rather go to a class. I'll get lazy and procrastinate. Trying to figure out if a certificate or going for AAS is more beneficial.

get a b.sc in mechanical engineering and you wont regret it. the salary for grads starts where the cad salaries top. we have drafters at my company with 10-15 years experience getting paid the same as M.E grads
