HouStook's Next Drive, where, when ????
I was thinking about this and right now (within the next 2 months) is some of the best weather we have in Houston, so how about another drive. But the question is where, what side of town and how long. If it is on the west or southwest or south side, I will plan the routes, but some one else will need to check the roads.
What I was thinking is a short drive, say from the southwest side to Kemah. And then maybe another drive, longer (to get out of the city and on some nice back roads) to the west or southwest or northwest. For me to go they will need to be on a Sunday, also that way John & KT can go, maybe even Leo and some others.
Dates, the short drive - how about the early April
longer drive - how about mid-late May
Tell me what you think

A drive to Kema would be great. May think about getting there kind of early (boardwalk) , parking fills up fast. Still trying to join Houston club. Not to good at getting this system down yet. But will keep trying. Long drive could be back roads to Rockport or further south. But very much up for a drive anywhere.

I thought a lot of you would jump on this. Here is your chance to tell me what you want to do.
As of right now it looks like it will be a drive from Sugarland to Kemah and then another up on the north side.

Maybe the drive to Kemah could go through Galveston, across the Bolivar Ferry and then back to I-10. That would be a long drive. We could stop for lunch at one of those Wildlife Reserve parks.

I'm sure we're in. I can't do the first week of April tho... On our way back from CC we stayed off of 77/59 as much as we could and hit some cool roads around the Cuero area, specifically 'FM 1961' which had a really cool double-S on it.
Just some ideas for a long drive!
BRING IT ON!
