Talking Houston Auto X event reminder/update

UPDATE: Since more people seem interetsted I have added a cruise and lunch portion to the event.

A few people asked me to post details regarding the next Auto-X event. Here is the link HOUSTON AUTO-X 04/11/10.

I will be attending and there are usually 3-4 s2000s that run out there as well. If you do not wish to run you can still attend and ride along for free. Everyone there is very nice and you do not have to worry about being modded to compete, most of the cars in our class are lightly modded at best.

Again, this is great chance to feel for how our cars act at the limit in a safe and controlled environment.

We will be leaving between 7:20-7:25am from Uptown Park (starbucks) The coffee should help everyone wake up.
Address
1400 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056
(713) 840-8474
At the very first light on the corner if you exit Post Oak from 610.

Lunch will be at Rudys BBQ on I-45 after the event. NOTE: Most auto-x events end around 12:00-1:00.
Address
20806 Interstate 45, Spring, TX 77373
(281) 288-0916

The cruise will follow after lunch.

PEOPLE ATTENDING

NOTE: The depart time from uptown park has been moved back, we will still have time as long as we leave no later than the time posted.

Passengers...
1.) Nothings really...However, check the list below.
2.) Head sock if you want one, like the one from track 21. They have loaner helmets, but as you can imagine they do not get sprayed down every run.
3.) Something to drink, it can get hot.
4.) Sunblock, dont ask me how I know this...
5.) I think you need to be 18 to sign the waiver to ride along.

Drivers...
1.) See the list above.
2.) Cash if you do not plan to pre-register.
3.) Gloves if you want them.
4.) Clean out your car. You can not run with loose items rolling around your trunk or cabin.
5. I think you need an up to date inspection sticker, the event is at the HPD track so I would reccomend it anyways...
6.) You will need to pass a basic tech inspection
-Solid brake and clutch pedals.
-Battery mounted securely.
-Wheels mounted securely.
-No fluid leaks.
-As you can see just the basics...
7.) Extra painters tape...I always forget...

If I remember any additional items I will update this list.

Do they both co-drive a Suzuka Blue S2K? If so then I know who you are talking about.
