Honda Dealers
Hello Houstooks,
My wife and I just moved here from Va Beach since retiring from the Navy. I was just wondering which dealer you guys and gals trust to service your s2k's. It looks like John Eagle might be the closest to Magnolia, so hopefully they will get mentioned favorably. Also, I might be in the market for a Honda Pilot since my wife seems to be struggling with our three grandkids in her G35. Any favorable comments about your sales experiences with the locals would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks.

I will put in a good word for John Eagle Honda. I have never been there for work on my car but i did set up a meet and they agreed to let us have it there and they helped us set it up and provided 60+ people with sandwiches and drinks. I have only heard good things about JEH so my vote goes to them. I live on the other side of Beaumont though so let some of the other houston guys chime in.

I for one will use JEH for warrenty work and C & C Northside for everything else.
Also welcome to the Houston area.

Thanks for the inputs so far. I think that John Eagle will be my first try when I need service. Also, I read in the Houston Chronicle yesterday that the weekend of August 5th is a tax free day in Texas. It might be a good time to do some SUV shopping. Does anyone know if this sales tax amnesty timeframe applies to automobile sales too?

Texas shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes on August 5, 6, and 7--the state's seventh annual tax holiday. Lay-away plans can be used again this year to take advantage of the sales tax holiday.
The law exempts most clothing and footwear priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.

So my guess is "No."
But keep in mind that you can deduct the sales tax on your federal income tax return this year.

Get to know Mac, that way he makes sure your taken care of. Don't be the typical customer, because that can lead to decent service instead of the JEH Treatment that Mac provides to Houstooks. BTW, Andy is the person to go to for parts (oil filters).
