Default Help! with fuel injectors

I'm in the process of replacing my fuel injectors. I bought some AP2 fuel injectors thinking they would fit on an AP1. Will they? or do I need to buy AP1 fuel injectors?

They will fit in the fuel rail and intake manifold.

As for the injector harness/connector, I cannot comment. If they do not fit the connectors (I believe they are the same), you could just get some AP2 connectors and wire them in.

They should fit just fine. Only the 06+ injectors will not fit the early cars (AP1/2).

ah, I see what the problem is now. I compared pictures of the fuel injectors I bought to the ones I have. Apparently, the ones I bought were from an 07. Well, this sucks...

Does anybody know anyone who's getting rid of their ap1 fuel injectors?

I'm having that rough idle issue on my car.

Troubleshooting = replacing coilpacks, sparkplugs, etc.

How rough is the idle?

Does it sound like the motor is mis-firing? Has anything changed recently? When did the symptoms show up?

I have the same symptoms as the guy who made the thread. The car drives perfect except when I idle, I can hear 'poot poot' sounds coming from the exhaust. It's not that bad but it gets very irritating at times.

It doesn't sound like the motor is misfiring. Although, I do get engine lights say I have misfire but they come out random every single time. The things I have changed recently were air filter and spark plugs to try to fix the problem. The symptoms have been going on for awhile now.

Have you done a compression/leak down test? If you have not, I would advise you to do so to see what your compression looks like. Although I highly doubt that is your case, but we shouldn't rule it out without checking.

Do a compression test/leak down and report back.

Also, could you post up a little more information about your car (Year, mileage)?
