sinh sinh is great if you're looking for super fresh boiled shrimp and they have the best ga pha lau (type of chicken dish) but that's it. Shivas is good, but karim is right if you're looking for super authentic south Indian vegetarian cuisine like Shri Balaji Bavan on hillcroft (menu is in Hindi, I usually ask for thali with lassi and pray they understood me). Best middle eastern is definitely along hillcroft. Bijans has good Persian food. Lone star hung out at darband last year and food was pretty good.

Tornado is awesome if you love In'n'Out burgers from Cali. I just wished we had Whitecastle here. I always order the crave pack when I go to NYC

Mmmm, in n out burgers are good!!!! Haven't had that in a few summers since my visit to cali.

man i need to make a drive out to houston soon!

the last indian food i had in houston was Mayuri and i can say i wasnt pleased..(with the service atleast)
i ordered coffee..and it was cold when i got it so i told them the response i got was "i can go microwave it for you"

i was prettty mad!

but i have my mom for indian food
and everyone knows Homemade food is the BEST

you guys ever been to krystal burger off of 1960? i went one time and it was delicious. its a fast food place but its supposed to b similar to white castle

mayuri has good thali and tasty mango lassi IMHO . Raja's sweets are great for gulabjamun
