front license plate: anyone been harassed for not having one?
This has probably been asked a billion times, but we've got a new WRX and the plates are coming in a few days. Does anyone 'round here go without the front plate? I suppose it doesn't matter all that much, but the plate hangs down over the radiator opening just a bit, so I would like to leave it off if possible...

Accept the ticket, and just show up in court with a picture of the plate mounted to the front of the car, and most courts will dismiss the case. Of coarse you'll have to pay court fees though.

Yeah, but is it something you'll actually get pulled over for, or do they just stick it to you once you're already caught?
BTW, the speed trap in the med center (Holcombe at MacGregor) sucks ass.

example, i got pulled for speeding and the plates got tacked on...i just paid it.

They WILL pull you over JUST for not having a front plate. It had happened to me SEVERAL times so ours is on now. Plus, with that new law about the plate holders, they are suppose to be really cutting down on people. Good luck!

I've been pulled over twice and my wife once for no front plate. We just pay the damn things because we lose more money taking time off work and going to court.
NO FRONT PLATE was the only reason we were stopped. In fact, Hempstead Hwy has a Front License Plate task force. We all know that rapists and murderers are less dangerous than people with no front plate.
