I was hydroplaning at 50mph!!! This was my first hand experience hydroplaning on this car... it was scary! If felt like it both ends are being tugged sideways.
Be safe guys!

Yeah...it sucks when your car changes lanes automatically.
I ordered some S02's in for my 16's. They are right here next to me in my cube...I'm looking at the tread on them bitches and I noticed that the water channels get skinnier as the tread wears down. I guess it's a dry weather performance thing...but it sure sucks for wet weather.
I think I'll stick to my 18's and some regular tires for commute.

I have 15K mi on the stockers but I thought I still have plenty of tread left. Anyways, I think I will be shopping for some 17 inchers in the near future with Proxes T1-S. I used to have those on my type r and they were descent.
When I started feeling that, I slowed down to 45mph and the car settled... whew!

Kibro,
Yeah...I love the T1-S. The water channels are wide and the channels don't get skinnier as the tire wears down (like the stock S02's). I have 245/35/18 in rear right now. I'm going to try to fit a 255/35/18 T1-S on my car next month.
I'll tell you...a T1-S worn down to the wear bar is almost just as stable in the rain than the stock S02 worn 3/4 way down.

I'll just prolly settle with a 17 inch wheels and will definitely wrap them with T1-Ss. The tread pattern looks owesome too.
Now, I just need to go find a 17" rims with specs that me like. Any suggestions? And now, I have to mess with plus 1 concept again... I know that this is a pretty messy concept for an S2000.

17" Racing Hart CP-035, one of the lightest rims and comes in all kinds of sizes/offsets. Can also be custom built for special sizes.
One of these days they'll be making their way onto my S.
