I'd prefer one of these over a classic car...cheaper and I'd get more use out of it.

Life has its quirky turns. What if he buys it, gets a girl preggo and never follows through on the restore. Dead stock right there. I never realized they were that cheap but still priorities. Still say, I'd want a place at least where it can be garaged first.
Life always throws curveballs. Deal with it when the pitcher throws one at you. In the meantime, enjoy the easy pitches
If Jesus fires off early unprotected with some chica like DJ always likes to, sell the Fairlady. Ain't too hard to dump a car like that, esp in Houston. Even if the resto gets grounded, prep it for storage and continue restoration in a few years or decades when you have time. My S600 sat untouched for a good 4 years until recently.

how is buying a $5000 Fairlady any different than buying a $5000 fully-modded Ruckus?

As for the pitcher, just don't strike out. Car business isn't too hot right now if he needs to resell and that's money stuck not accruing dividend nor interest. Unless you buy uber rare cars like ralph lauren with some type of racing pedigree or limited production, 9 times out of 10, you will lose your ass on it.
As always, this is just my opinion. In the end, its his money so he can spend it how he likes.

You missing the fact I own a home already with a place to park my project. Different terms if we want to compare apples to apples. You have to worry about shelter, food, and procreating first. Needs versus wants.

the only thing Jesus needs to hear is this 6-letter word: Datsun
Skyler is the fluffy white angel on Jesus's right shoulder and I'm the red little devil on his left helping him spend his money
