We're well overdue for a long drive - this will be our opportunity to enjoy our cars and friends on a long drive.

What:
- Group drive out into the country, probably 5 hours of driving.
- Route: TBR (To Be Revealed on the day of the event. Will include all the routes we are known for in Central Texas. We will not have a route marked out in advance, you will follow the lead car. Generally speaking, we will head horthwest, then west, then south to circle around and come into Fredericksburg from a southwesterly direction.
- Not a race. A nice drive to enjoy our cars and the countryside

Who:
- S2K folks, Miatas, 350Zs, other sporting cars invited
- Experienced drivers. No yahoos.

When:
- Sun 15th
- Cancelled if rain or serious cold front comes thru. Watch this thread as we approach start time.
- Check-in at 10:00 at Sondra's house (PM for directions).
- We leave at 10:30
- Finish at approx. 5 PM or later at the Fredericksburg Brewing Company.
- After dinner, you are on your own to return.

Stops:
- Time for Krispy Kreme donuts at 10:00 AM
- Quick lunch somewhere "out there" around 1
- Holiday Dinner/Drinks at a place TBD in Fredericksburg around 5 PM
- Gas as needed, at less than 200 mile marks along the way.

Preparation:
- Map of Texas, in case we loose each other
- FRS radio to keep in touch with other cars. Check your batteries.
- Cell phone for emergencies.
- Check your tire pressures and perform maint in advance. Breaking down out in the middle of nowhere is going to cost you! If you have a roadside service plan, bring the info you'll need.
- Clothing (required). Bring a coat, anything goes once the sun goes down. Could be 70 high, 40 low. Hat, sunglasses, hooded sweatshirt
- $$$ - for lots of gas, bfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Camera

Not to deter people, but we usually wait up for people at particular turn off points. =)

Most likely, I'll be there, and looking for a passenger seat to ride along and share the drive.

I'll be there and it looks like my sister is coming down to Austin this weekend and she'll be there, too. I'll have to take it easy on the curves because she's not much into going fast. I think I'm going to pass on this one (even though it is the perfect day for me to join you all), as I need to keep the mileage as low as possible until Feb. to give me better odds with my trade-in for the G35C.
