I do feel really bad because I led the other S2K owner into the ticket, since I was the radar guy...I'm really sorry!

Any input will help. Do you all think I can fight it? It says 40 mph and over is $240.

Unless your LAST name is May, I'd go to court and fight this, unless I'm misreading this, can't tell from the photoshop smudge if Johnny Law got your name right!

That looks like it will be more then $240.00. Usually there is the standard fine (in this case looks like $90.00 bucks) and then added to this is the number of miles over the limit multiplied by the dollar amount per mile (in this case a flat out $240.00).
Do not assume the ticket is simply $240.00 dollars. There are court costs that are not included, which are required to process the ticket. Looks like this ticket will run about $330.00 minimum. That seems to be a bargain considering most people would have gone to jail.

After reading May's ticket, I just remembered something. On my last ticket and last police report (car vandalized), under race, the cop put down "W". I am assuming this means white. Right?
Just wondering because I don't look white in any way. Especially after riding around with the top down all year.

Daaamn, now I'm *really* glad I didn't go to Houston with you guys!!! Wow... Not only a 131mph ticket, but also got your antennas
ripped off...
Geez, at least I was able to do 115mph through the hillcountry on deserted backroads and not get caught that day :-)
Sorry to hear about it, May...
Also, expect an extra $90 on that ticket for the "Unsafe speed: Fail to control speed".... I'm surprised he didn't write that on there.
My worst ticket has been for 105 in a 60.... He also wrote down "failure to signal lane change, unsafe lane change, racing, and speeding over limit" ... those were the 4 infractions. I was luckily able to take defensive driving and got off with just a $150-170 fine/court fee... I think I got off easy, too. It was also DPS.

Called today. We just have to send in a letter requesting deferred adjudication, we'll end up having to take defensive driving, (Defensivedriving.com here I come...again), and we'll get our 30 day probation. Fee is only $240, no court fee (seeing as how we don't have to go to court).
That is, assuming our reqest is granted.
