Default Speeding Ticket

Hello all,

Got my first speeding ticket (Honda) on I-35 going towards Austin.
What options does Texas have so that it will not go against my record and raise my insurance.
Last time I got a ticket (Corolla) was in Charlotte, NC about 4+ years ago.

Getting the ticket was good cause it will keep me in check.

Anyways, any ideas on how to beat it?

Just pay the ticket and get on with your life. You were in the wrong so take responsibility. I35 is especially known for its small town cops that will pull you over for going 1+ mph over the limit. Just plead No Contest and either take Defensive Driving or try and go for Deferred Adjudication (9 month probation).

plead no contest and take defensive driving! or wait for a prosecutor to get a deferred adjudication and get put on prohibition for 6 to 9 months.

how to beat it - next time it happens (but it shouldn't because u learned lesson on this one) ask for the radar make and model number. Go online and check the radar accuracy range, and ask for the calibration records.

GL it happens to the best of us!

Funny Noah.. Real funny. It was probably the bling that attracted them in the first place.
Anyways - I do take responsibility. Just wanted to know my options. I knew of them back in NC. I was not sure about that ones in TX.
So thanks guys. I do appreciate it.
