Default Sold my S2000

It was fun, but I needed something more practically to take road trips and haul my bikes (leg powered bikes! ).

Met some good friends and spent good times at the track and autocross. This is the only way to drive this car. Many times I would take it work or to run an errand and felt the car was being wasted. It belongs on a track!

There will always be more cars to discover.

So for now I picked up a 2003 SC Xterra. This is a fun little SUV. Bought the grill guard just in case I run into anyone. Just kidding!
This is what it looks like.

Have fun guys and be careful on those weekend romps. Don't want to hear about any tragedies.

WTF? I'd have expected you to be the last one of us to bail on your S2000! Oh well, priorities change, and I can certainly understand your desire for a more practical vehicles, esp. since you're into bike riding. At least you really used your car for its intended purpose; hopefully it will leave you w/ some good memories.

Drive that SUV out to HH sometime...just make sure Ricky isn't going!

BTW, how did you sell your S2000? I'm surprised you didn't post if F/S here...

My priorities changed. That pretty much sums it up. I'll eventually get another sportscar. I'm just having more fun cycling.

One thing is for sure, I will have some pretty damn good memories taking the S to the track.

Funny you mention Ricky and the SUV thread. That thread cracked me up. Hence my grill guard comment.

A picture maybe is in order.

Minus the PIAAs.

I never placed my car for sale on this board. Kind of pointless actually. I walked into a dealer and haggled over price. In the end I left very happy. I expect in about a year or two the price of an S2000 will be fairly low. Nissan is not selling the 350Z as well as anticipated. No waiting list at many dealerships with cars sitting on the lot.

With the new arrival of the RX8 priced within the same price range as the S2000, 350Z and Z4 lower prices on good used S2000s are ahead. The market for these sports cars is pretty soft.

I'm selling my 93 Toyota 4x4 single cab pickup if anyone is interested.

Saw his new SUV this morning, and its pretty nice (even though I was half sleeping when you stopped by).

We'll miss you at the auto-x and track. I think jwfisher will agree, you were the "Rookie of the Year" last season

You are right, this car is wasted on everyday driving and I even dare say the Country Drives. Nothing beats the track, and I know you will be back. Maybe not in an S, but you'll be back. You cant escape the "darkside"

Thanks Kevin.

Blake,

KBB on my truck is $5700.00. I would be happy with $5200.00. The truck has relatively new tires (~5000 miles). Has had a tune-up done recently with valve adjustment.

The truck itself has 123,000 miles. Pretty low for a Toyota.

I have not officially placed and ad anywhere to sell it and it has caused quite a stir. These little pickups are very popular.

I'll get it fixed up this weekend....wash, wax, etc..

Yeah, don't forget I had a '92 extended cab SR5! I wish I still had it alongside the S2K...
