Recommend a body shop in Austin?
My front fender was crunched in a parking lot recently (and of course, not note left by the culprit). Can anyone recommend a great body shop in Austin that will make her look as good as new? I'm new to the Austin area so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Jeff's Auto Body on N. Lamar, provided a quick turnaround isn't essential. They have lots of experience w/ S2000's and do a great job, but they also have plenty of business to keep them busy.

Hope you have deep pockets if you are going to Jeff's! [Or good insurance!]
Here's a photo of my front end after I bumped a deer at low speed, and they quoted me $1800!
It's two little dings in the hood, and the headlight and fender are pushed in a little.
I haven't decided what to do, but I don't think Jeff's will be repairing it.

And how much did other places quote you?
I got a quote for a huge dent in my rear fender, left by my sister, and they quoted me the exact same price as the body shop First Texas Honda uses. I forgot what its called, but its the one to the right as you exit 183 and go south on Lamar...

A neighbor does paintless dent removal and will take out the dings for $150, but doesn't want to mess with "pulling" out the headlight assembly. I just don't trust anybody, so that's why I'm not sure what to do.
[I'd rather not do an insurance claim since my record is clear for the first time in a long while!]

My $.02...the quality will be appreciated long after the price is forgotten. At least that's what I've told the insurance adjusters! (I was hit in both cases, neither of the two claims going to Jeff's (1 S2k, 1 Tundra) were my fault.)

First Texas Honda shares Continental Body shop along with a Mercedes dealership. Another S2K owner took his baby there for some minor cosmetic work. He said they did a nice job....until they tacked on additonal charges when he went back to pick it up!
Jeff's gave me a reasonable estimate for the front fender crunch, which I'll submit to my insurance. The estimate for some little dings & deep scratches from dropping the hardtop behind the cockpit was a bit high, but I'll just suck up that cost to return her to beautiful condition. I notice that no one gives any really high marks to any other body shop besides Jeff's.

Yeah, Continental was it. They were nice, but literally gave me the exact same estimate as Jeff's, and so there was no way I would have taken it there. I know Jeff's does excellent work. Did you see that S2000 that was in their album? Quite amazing how it turned out.
I actually think the fact that they give you a bottle of touch up paint is pretty telling. Never had a body shop do that.
First Texas body shop did my other wreck because I didn't know anything about Jeff's at the time. They did a good job, as well, but probably not as good as Jeff's would have done.
