Nice, TXB4Z! Which model amp is that? I have the G2250 I think and it fit inside of my spare tire. No loss of trunk space! Looks like you have a subwoofer with yours so the amp will be a bit larger, haha. Mine only powers the component system.

RavynX, It's a G4500. I may upgrade to the 300/4 if this one doesn't push the sub enough but I think it will.
The way I plan this stereo upgrade it will take up very little trunk space. The sub/box fit perfectly where the spare tires goes and I plan to mount the amp vertically to the left of the spare tire cover panel. If the sub in the spare tire well rattles and every thing and sounds like shit I will have a fiberglass box built to fit in the far right or left of the trunk

knock-offs:
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_kw=sub&...kw=s2000&_ipg=
you can try to locate one of these:

darkside used to be a good source, but I'm not sure if he still makes them:

just keep in mind an already small trunk will be even smaller
my personal opinion (not that any of you care): the s2000 is shit acoustically. as an audiophile, and as someone who has had a system in every car I've owned prior to this one, this vehicle isn't really worth the investment of a stereo for a few reasons, potential sound quality aside. between the audio control compatibility and the radio cover clearance, your choice of head unit is reduced. add to that the obvious road noise, the increased chance of theft due to a soft top, no decent location for a sub, limited proper mounting points for amps, and you begin to get the idea..... not to say it can't be done: I just think money is better spent elsewhere in regards this car.
