Need new tire, how to insure the correct one?
I need to get a new rear tire (inopportune nail). Looking over the tires at the Tire Rack, it's tough to tell which is the proper OEM tire for our car.
Is there somebody to call there?

call Conner at Tire Rack, he'll know exactly what you need (OEM S02, not a pole position S02).
is the nail in the sidewall or near it? or else could patch it and would be fine, even for the event.

The nail is in the middle of the tire.
Patched tires are *never* fine for events, IMHO. They are just doing too much work and heating up to extremes. I wouldn't trust a patch under any circumstances on track.
As of now, I'm not going to be at the event anyway, but I don't want to run aorund with this slow leak anyway...

Be sure you get OEM Honda SO2 tires, not regular SO2 or Porsche SO2 or Pole Position SO2. The Honda SO2 tires are the only one that say 89W on the front and 92W on the rear tires.
205/55WR16 89W SL FRONT
225/50WR16 92W SL REAR
