Anyone know of anywhere that may have one? trying to go local (texas) to find one.

I'm on the same boat as you. Also looking for a motor. Although, i'm still debating on dropping that 4-5K into a "rebuild"...

Why, when you can buy one for $3700 with 8k miles on it??

Or, contact hardtopguy on here and see if he has any left over that he can get delivered to you inexpensively. If two people split the cost of shipping for two engines on a pallet, the price can be lowered substantially.

I'm not touching a rebuild. I'm looking for a used working. I'll have someone take a look at that one in bryan.

Hey man, care to share what happened to your motor ? I was pretty sure the motor was a very stout motor stock.

I didn't check the oil for about 2500 mi and it got too low. The only bad part was there was no indication of low oil pressure, any heat issues, or performance loss prior to it happening. I just got off the interstate, stopped at the stop light, when it changed i took off and wham, it started sounding like lawn mower running over gravel.

they really do mean that you should check your oil often.
