If anyone needs an alignment in Austin...
...give me a PM.
A friend of mine introduced me to this guy who works at NTB. When he is not busy, you can drive straight into his bay and have an alignment done. I paid $30 cash to get the following "Schatten's Recipe for Success":
FRONT:
Camber= -1.2
Caster= 5.8 (couldnt quite get to 6)
Toe= 0
REAR
Camber= -2
Toe= 0.25" toe in
He works at the NTB on I-35 exit 252A in Round Rock. Real nice guy. Made me drive my car on and off the rack, and let me watch him work. If you need an alignment, PM me and I'll give you his name and number. I think he only works on Thursday through Saturday.
After 2 track events (and 2 spin outs) my alignment was off. The car feels a lot better now, especially in the rain

Hi50, do you happen to know what kind of alignment equipment he was using? A laser guided Hunter or did you see some strings? Just curious. I've had my car aligned by both methods and they were done well. It's more in the operator.
$30 is a rocking deal. Thanks for finding this for us. At this price, I can do some experimentation.

I believe it was a laser (not sure if it was a Hunter though). No strings or anything like that. Pretty sweet setup. These modules were placed on each tire, and he made adjustments to the rear first, then moved to the front. I stood by the computer screen and watched the numbers roll up and down as he made his adjustments. He was pretty anal, and it took him less than 40 minutes to finish. You get the printout as well. He seems to do a lot of work on auto-Xers and track guys. I just missed some guy before me who had a Mustang and was adjusted to well over -3 degrees camber (auto-Xer) He has done several S2K's as well.
