has anyone bought Dunlop DZ101?
i just got these tires to replace my bald rear tires. i just feel that the side walls are very soft the car feel like it loose in the rear. the guy from goodyear which he gave me a huge hookup told me that new tires have a small break in period and the sidewall will get stiff after 100 to 200 miles. has anyone heard of that? i think its B/S but im not a tires expert does anyone know about this?

lol... Those are 300-treadwear tires, Adolfo... They're pretty much "all seasons" so there's not much you're going to be able to do about that.
Cheaper does not equal better when it comes to tires.

Yeah the DZ101s aren't that great of a tire. The Z1 Star specs on the other hand......are phenomenal.
There is a tire break-in period actually, so you're not getting smoke blown up your dress.
There's an adhesive-like substance that the rubber is coated with in order to let the tire slip out of the mold during manufacturing. This usually takes around 300-500 miles to wear off and the car will feel like it's on marbles for a little while. Not too sure about the sidewall stiffening, but the grip will get noticeably better after some mileage.

I'm pretty sure sidewalls do not "stiffen up." Like usafdarkhorse said, there's usually a break in period for tires concerning the coating on the tire but that wears off fairly quick. I bet he told you that so you would keep the tires.

I have the dz 101's and they are by far the best tires iv had on my s2k, i literaly struggle to get the rear to break loose and when it does there is a good controlable feel in the tires.
