Gears

if you daily drive your car i would not go for the 4.77. 4.57 are the best gear ratio for our cars. they dont affect the rpm by much maybe 500rpm more.
I dont where you can get them besides ricks. I have had mine for a while in my room and I yet to get them installed ...too lazy i guess...but i may not even use them bc i am going boosted...
if i decide to let them go...ill let you know..

4.77's are impractical if you drive on the interstate going 85+ miles per hour. If you for the most part follow the speed limit, they are fine. City driving you will actually notice an improvement in gas mileage (all things being equal) because you will have to shift more often.
Whatever you get, I highly recommend picking up the comptech reinforced differential as well.

Yeah from what im thinking im going with 4.7's. I have gone out of town with my s2k one time, and that was to f'sberg. If i get these gears i should be able to hang with a sc s2k pretty decently. And i actually usually go even a little under teh speedlimit. When im not racing around that one day out of the week the s2k is my chill mobile. I just want to put a big on the mustang guys faces when i hang with them.
Odds are this will be my final mod, i was gonna do suspension, but from my readings its really expensive and alot can go wrong.

I am not sure where everyone here is located but if you can make a trip to Austin this coming Saturday (10/28) then you are welcome to try my car with its 4.77 gears .
Due to my travel schedule .. this is a one time, one day offer.
I have had them for two + years now and have to say that I disagree with any negative thoughts on the 4.77's . I am not going to document what I have done with them here in writing ..... but speeds well above 85 have been no problem at all.

Ok the 4.7's that he is talking about look really great. But will it handle the increased strain over a kia? thats all i need is my gears to rip through my car when romping it.
Then again ricky said i should spend my money learning the car first before i make it even more fast.
