Default Drivers Edge event follow up

I went to TWS this weekend for a Drivers Edge event. Great time except for it being too crowded. Saturday the track was near perfect. Sunday was pretty rainy and cold (good thing I left early). There must have been 10 s2000s there which was the best showing they've had. There was a guy there named Ed Paez who must have been reading a whole bunch of people's minds. When you are sitting around waiting for your next group it starts dawning on you that you only get 4 -20 minute sessions a day and wouldn't it be great if you could rent the track for the day with a group of folks, pay about the same money and go out as often as you'd like. As anyone can attest who has been there - you spend a lot of time waiting. 20 minute intervals followed by about a 90 minute wait time. It's kind of fun to shoot the bull with folks but it gets old fast. Anyway back to Ed. Ed has reserved the track for Friday Nov. 1 and was passing around flyers about if he can get 25 people, the cost would be $195 and you could drive as long as you wanted as often as you wanted and Ed is a past instructor so would be available to folks who wanted help. When you start thinking about it - that's a way better deal all the way around. It doesn't chew up a whole weekend, more track time, less people, less cost (especially when you think about not having to throw down in the Manor House Inn). Anyway - no commercial but if you're interested let me know and I'll post Ed's email address for sign up

ACB, myself and at least 3 others I know are doing the Nov.1st deal. Open track, 1 day shootout - should be fun. I hope we can hit the 25 mark to make it happen.

Ok, here is the deal as I've been explained:

It's $295 until we get 25 people and then it's $195. We need more people!! The good news is you can bring a passenger and you can run all day long!!

Bump - Friday is the last day to pay. I think the count is at least up to 13, maybe more as I haven't heard an update since last week.

*Edit*
15 registered, 8 paid

10 more and it's a cheap day at the track...c'mon...

Agreed, it's precious little track time. While Jeff F. doesn't agree with me (noting he's biased since he's a DE instructor ), I've gotten more track time with the TWS Motorsports club.

Last time I was up, I got 320 miles on the track in two days. 5-6 run sessions, all 35-30 mins. While they probably cannot do that much track time every event, the general rule is that the M Club is less heavily attended than Pcar and DE events.

Cheaper too, at 250.

While the instructors at the DE are great (I won't comment on the Pcar club), this becomes much less of an issue once you are solo'd (I think most of you track rats are, or are about to be), although I grab an instructor from time to time, typically one of the club racers that are there as instructors.

Just my experience.
