You use an impact screwdriver, if that doesn't work, get out the drill and remove them by drilling them out

I've only encountered one vehicle that I couldn't get the screws out with an impact screwdriver... It was a '94 GS-R that had spent a large portion of its life in Florida. Stupid salty air.

Im gonna have to try that.. Ive never had to drill out a screw, is that hard? Is it has simple as it sounds? Once drilled out can i still replace with new bolts?

We tried using an impact screwdriver and they wouldn't budge. 1) I was using a heavy set of vice grips as a "hammer" b/c I don't have one at the moment. and 2) I think the impact driver I got was a POS.

I also couldn't get the 2 caliper bolts that hold the caliper to the rotor to budge. Grrr. Wish I had air tools.

Yeah usually a impact screwdriver will do the job, along with a big mallet. If you have to drill it out use a step style drill bit, makes it easier. Trust me. Then just use vice grips to turn out the bolt. I was hoping you'll make use of those rotors bro, let me know if you need help I'm available later today.

I used a little WD-40 around the screw, waited about 5-10 minutes and busted out the impact driver and a big mallet, came out just fine.

I have used a thin punch directly in the middle of the screws, being careful not to damage the screw, give it a couple of good hits to jar the screws loose. No impact driver required, Works every time. Use antisieze during reassembly.
