Hi Diane,

This is my first S, and I've wanted one since they first came out, but too poor to afford one at that time. Owned three Integras and a RSX-S. My daily driver is a '03 Honda Element, which works great for hauling my dog around and household projects.

I like the CR elements on your car, and the NFR looks great in person (nearly bought a '09 NFR).

Cheers.

Good to see another one rescued form "the north" where they will just rust and rot if driven in the winter. Vanessa and I flew up to Philadelphia and drove it all the way back to TX (mine is a "delete" without A/C), reaching exterior temperatures as high as 107F on our drive back.
I've done the whole drive from NYC and back, so I totally relate to the long trek (thankfully had AC in my Element). My car is the "delete" model too so it'll only do fair weather duty. Got a link to some pics of your car?

I love the Smurf blue.

I love the Smurf blue.
I don't really have many pics of mine, mainly because it lives on a trailer. At some point, once I get all of the stickers on it after the first big SCCA event this spring, I will take some pics of it.

Here it was on the trip home when we took it to run The Tail of the Dragon:

Here's after we got it home and I tore the thing apart to put the Moton shocks and other goodies on it (you can see the former 'race car' in the backgroud):

First event on the O.Z. Wheels with brand new Hoosiers:

That's cool that you got a "delete" as well.. They are an extremely rare breed... Only 59 of them built, in all colors, in total... Only 21 Apex Blue "deletes" were ever made.

Nice pics, and man, that's a sweet trailer setup you have.

Thanks... Yeah, a few years of borrowing trailers and then making do with a trailer that's much less than ideal teaches you a lot about what you want. The trailer I have now fits in the garage, with the car on it, with one inch to spare at the front and back... I pretty much had the trailer custom built for my existing garage, and it has worked out great. The deck hydraulically tilts, so I don't need traditional ramps to drive on/off of it.

What a baller setup.

Do you plan to keep the CR as a pure track car, and if so, are you interested in selling your CR wheels?

lol... It actually isn't *that* fancy compared to some of the rigs out there... Although at this point, I have way too much money wrapped up in my whole race setup if you count the tow vehicle and the race car.

As for the wheels, no, I'm keeping those so I can put the Hoosier rain (race) tires on them.

Totally understand. I'm looking for a backup set so I don't have to wait very long if a tire busts.

Congrats on the nice CR! If you want backup wheels, 17x9's all around are a great way to improve your car's handling. I'd have a hard time going back to stock sizing.

Out of the box, CRs are far more stable and less "twitchy" and "tail-happy" than a regular AP1 or AP2, even with the staggered setup.
