[SA]Collision centers
I have seen some people talk about Jack's Paint Place, but was thinking about taking it to a HONDA dealership (Gunn Collision on I ten). Is it better one way or the other to take it to a shop or a dealership? I just want to make sure i get 100% work done right!
side note my auto insurance wants me to take it to http://www.calibercollision.com/
thanks for you help

Caliber collision did some really good work on my friend's car recently (His 09 Avalanche was broken into). They gave him a hassle about the amount of time it would take though and he had to keep putting his foot down to make sure the job was done in a timely manner. That's the only downfall. I'm dropping my bumepr off at Jack's today to get fixed. I went past Gunn and had a quote done but wasn't too impressed. Jack's comes with a year (or two? can't remember) warranty on the paint. I was one of those people all about only going to a dealer at first, but honestly, it's going to come down to where you'll get the best work done - dealer or not.

Called up jack's and they said the soonest i could take it in was next Monday. So good that they are busy (meaning people go to them) bad for me that it's going to be another week with a black eye lol

yeah long story short i couldn't take my bumper in today :/ if you take the panels off the car i'm sure it would be cheaper and he could probably get it done faster (he told me a two day turn around).

yeah long story short, but my experience is that you don't want to compromise even if you have to wait a couple of weeks. I'm also reluctant to trust the shop that insurance companies recommend, maybe it's just my experience but I spent two years getting the insurance companies recommended shop to fix all the corners they cut on my last car. The shop I had originally wanted to go with even pointed out some broken welds missed by the insurance company's shop on the front of the car while they where doing some work for me on the back.

I've had expirience with Gunn and have always been satisfied. I'm pretty sure the give a lifetime warranty, I've also heard good things about Jacks. Whatever you do, avoid Loredo paint and body. Took six weeks for them to get our TSX fixed properly. Made lots of excuses, when all was said and done, the floor was three inches deep with water after the first good rain. The car was never the same again and was traded for an RDX.
