So today my boss asked me if I wanted to go out to San Antonio Raceway, I said sure why not (never have been to a track before or raced, and had no idea what to do lol)

got to hit 3 runs

1st 15.0271 sec @ 95.24 mph (beat a Suburban lol)
2nd 14.9950 sec @ 96.55 mph (lost to 350z)
3rd 14.9396 sec @ 96.01 mph (beat the 350z)

Over all I had a blast! was so scared on my first run but after that it got better and better!

VIDEOS!

You can even take a bike off the line for a while, with a good launch...

I've taken my Grand Am GT out there and got a low 16 with it. I never got a chance to take my Integra GS-R before it was stolen. I really want to get the S2000 out there for a pass or two. I'll be out there tomorrow for the Spokes Autocross.

lol @ Ricky for taking the bike off the line. I thought the Yamaha R1's were a 10 second'ish bike... I wonder why he only managed a 12. Was it cold?

The funny part was, I ran a 14.9 @ 92mph in the Tundra...

My tow vehicle is much faster than cars I thought were 'pretty damned fast' back in the day.

Spokes is holding their first Autocross of 2010 at San Antonio Raceway. It starts early so try and make it there around 7-8am. Registration ends around 8:30'ish I think? $25 for non-members, $20 for members.

Schedule:
8:00-9:00AM REGISTRATION and TECH open. Pre-registered folks must check-in. Work/run assignments will be announced at drivers meeting.
9:00-9:15AM LATE REGISTRATION open. Registrations accepted for an additional $5 charge.
9:00-9:15AM NOVICE WALK-THRU and COURSE OPEN for walking. (Course may be open before 9AM, if available).
9:30AM Mandatory Drivers Meeting at the timing trailer.
9:40AM First Heat Cars To Grid, First Heat Workers to Report.
9:45AM First Car out.
Generally a full day affair. Depending on turnout there may or may not be a lunch break.

There really isn't anywhere to eat around there so pack a lunch!
