I am planning on going to the hill country drive Sat night. It would be nice to have a big S2K turnout.

This will be my first such outing as well and it would be nice to meet all of you.

Im not sure what meet you are saying you will be at. There is a meet tonight at Bennigans around 7:30 at I-10 and DeZavala.

Then there is a hill country drive in Austin on Saturday evening, I believe it starts around 6.

Just to make it clear since the thread has multiple events in it.

No problem, just wanted to make sure you didn't show up to a meet that had already taken place

Aiee... "Hill Country Drive" in the evening just sounds deadly.... That's when all the suicidal kamikazee deer come out.

Sounds deadly however the deer are laying low these days due to the high temps. Of course during the fall, watch out! Hard to call it an evening drive anyway since the daylight stretches to 9 PM. I suspect only the suicidal variety of deer will be willing to make an appearance.
