[AUS] Central Texas S2000s Drive | Saturday, November 30
#1
[AUS] Hill Country Drive | Sunday, December 1
[The original date of this drive was Saturday, November 30. It was rescheduled due to bad weather.]
REGISTRATION
Message me to tell me you're planning to attend. Of course, tell everyone here on the forum, too.
(If you are part of the Central Texas S2K Facebook page, please mark yourself as 'Going' on the event page.)
If the group of registered drivers gets too large (more than 20 cars), registration will be closed. For my first drive, I don't want to have more than 20 cars because I don't know how everyone will behave. We're just getting to know each other.
THIS RUN IS FOR S2000s ONLY.
READ: SAFETY OF PARTICIPANTS AND PUBLIC
Every driver will be expected to follow time-tested rules which will help us keep this a safe driving event, be respectful of the safety and well-being of the general public, and protect the reputation of our club. The Tourmaster will briefly cover these at the drivers meeting. Those who violate the rules will be banned from future drives.

Destination: Restaurant for breakfast TBA at Drivers Meeting (it will be in north Austin.) Breakfast is optional. You don’t have to stay for breakfast. The Tourmaster will reserve tables for the group.Early start time is to avoid traffic and enjoy the roads.
ROUTE
This drive will have lots of curves and elevation changes. You will have a blast.
Driving directions will be provided at Drivers Meeting.
NO RADIO, NO DRIVE
For your safety and the safety of those driving near you, every car is required to have one functional FRS/GMRS radio so that messages regarding road hazards can be communicated to all participants. There will be a radio check before the drivers meeting. Make sure your radio is charged the night before. Don’t come if you don’t have a radio. No car without a radio will be allowed to drive with the group. This is for your safety.
Regarding radios, any FRS/GMRS radio from Best Buy, Fry's, or Walmart should do for our short drive. The Motorola radios have been reliable for many users. There is no need to buy the most expensive radio as they all are limited to 0.5W and have about the same range. If you have an extra radio, bring it in case someone's radio does not work.

Ladies and gentleman. The drive has been scheduled to tomorrow morning. The weather forecast for tomorrow morning looks fabulous. Breakfast reservation has been made. Don't miss this great weather and short drive. I intend to drive top-down the entire time. I am really looking forward to an exciting drive in excellent weather, followed by an amazing breakfast. I hope at least a few of you will join us. To register, simply marked yourself as 'going' on the Facebook page or indicate here.
