WTB: used SA2005 helmet
I'm looking to see if anyone has a used helmet I can buy. I'm just checking here before I drop 300+ on a new one. I would use a large probably. Thanks

Used closed face, but in your size.
My only two issues, I'm not a fan of someone else's sweat and not too keen on a closed face helmet with an airbag equipped car.
If you can look beyond that, it's a GREAT buy!

Thanks guys. I looked at craigslist right after I made the post and I found hundreds of ads, but after digging all I could were motor cycle helmets. I know they must have a few, its just the whole needle in a haystack thing. I will revise and dig again too though. I'm kind of hoping to buy a local one so I can use it this weekend and the mustang club run. And I did pm the guy with the used one too. Thanks guys

I use my old motorcycle helmet. That is perfectly OK. Just pick up a local cheap helmet from Craigslist. Buy a later model one that is DOT SNELL approved and you will be good to go.
Also, you can remove the liners in some helmets and wash them.

I want to get a SA2005 so I can run at road atlanta and the like too. Which day is everyone else going, I'll probably run with the group. This will be my first real time on a track so maybe you guys could give me some pointers to help to dial me in.

If you want to buy new and local, go to Full Throttle Racing on ?? Davidson Street in Nashville. They have G-Force and Simpson in stock most of the time. If not in stock, they get them shipped in from Atlanta twice a week.
