Amanda and I will be driving down, if you want to hook up and caravan. I think several of the others from the MC Crew may be going down a day or two early.
We plan on leaving Friday morning! Chattanooga is a great place, especially downtown. We have never been to the SESM before but we did go to the Wake the Dragon meet a few weeks ago in Fontana NC and had fun.

That sounds good to me. We were not planning to leave until Friday evening but I can just take the day off work and go early.

Maybe we can get together for a Nashville "Test" ride before the meet.

 

By the way ... for anyone who is "getting accustomed" to the car, the plan is to break up into drive groups of 10-12 cars based on how fast you want to run the route. You probably noticed the choice on the sign-up site for 0 to 6th gear ... that would be the speed rating for that particular group, 0 being your basic Sunday afternoon drive and 6th is more like balls to the wall.

This way, you can choose a group to run with that will work with your comfort zone with respect to the feel for the car, thereby maximizing the fun you can have on the drive.

There should be room to alter your original choice at check-in Friday evening if you feel a need to do so.

Yeah as Eddie (eturner) mentioned, some of us are going down early.

Pete is going down on Wed. And he and Kimmy are going to do the quick get-away thing. As for me......Im headed down Wed or Thurs....depending on how much Bill and His Wife want really want to put up with me.

I'll start a new Thread, and we'll help the rest of the group get organized for a Friday Caravan. And Times, meeting areas can be worked out.

The caravan is a fun time for myself and Pete - b/c we like nearly killing ourselves to get pictures in.

 

He's right about those guys "killing themselves to take pictures", they are snaping pics around the curves, from the front, side, rear, stopped, moving, speeding, in the median, on the shoulder, backward, frontward, from the top, bottom, parked, hoods up, hoods down
you name it and they take a pic of it.

Those guys are great!

 

It's fun. Gets a little scary every now and then.

 

Brad ... I'm planning to head over early am on Thurs ... I've offered to go help Rob put stickers on the road signs along the route, unless they need me to do something else.

If they don't keep us busy, you and I will have to go "work out" at Taco Mac before Voipa come up and drains them dry

 

I say we go if we've busy or not.
