Visiting Knoxville, found s2k peeps
Hi ya'll! Visiting Knoxville at the moment. Drove the S all the way from Baton Rouge, LA. Well peeps up here are just friendly. I took the S for a drive, and was waved down by 2 S2k's. One red one black tops down headed in the opposite direction. One looked like it had a body kit. We were in a white S2k. Boyfriend was driving (he's in a rental truck, he wanted some fun ) One the guys threw his hands up in the air! lol. So I instinctively did the same Just wondering who you were. Not familiar with this area. We were headed to Pigeon's Forge for a drive, among other surrounding areas. I wish I could remember the name of the street we were on.
Well anyway had a great time driving up there, but sadly my trip ends Wednesday. Just wanted to know if you guys that flagged me down are on here!

It was probably me. I drive a Red S2000. For some reason I feel the need to wave at other S2000 owners. I can't really explain it, but I just have to. I hope that your trip went okay.
You were driving down Hwy 321 in Maryville. We were headed back from the dragon. Did you guys go to the dragon while you were up here?

Yeah, we tackled the dragon. Wow. I'm definitely coming back for the 5th annual run. We went Sunday. After the run, I noticed that some S2ki peeps had a little meet for the Dragon run Saturday! A little upset I had missed that, but I got to drive the dragon so it cheered me up a bit.
Beautiful scenery. I miss it there already. This LA heat is just killing me!
I also think nearly EVERY person up there that had an S waved to me. That doesn't happen in LA.
Dragon was by far the BEST enjoyment there. Also learned not to wear LSU gear in Tennessee Had a good time, and hope to see some of ya'll in late August for another run!

The S2000 drivers in West Knoxville don't seem to be as friendly.... NEVER get a wave back.... oh well...
Glad you got to enjoy beautiful East TN.

I've noticed that most S2K drivers are not very friendly in KTown also (and I live here). In fact, it seems most of the time they try to ignore you, I think they want to believe that they are the only one with an S2K!! There's even a lady that lives just a couple of miles from my house that I seem to pass alot, she has never waved back... hmm, maybe if I jumped into her lane or a "one finger wave" would get her attention

I know two S2000 drivers (female) that purchased their cars because they were 'cute.' (I know...this does not apply to everybody, I said two). They don't have a clue about VTEC or much else about the car. Those same people, I don't think, have every seen oncoming traffic. So, it is not possible to wave back if you don't know traffic exists around you.
There is another dynamic that is interesting. I have a Miata as well as an S2000. Miata drivers will wave at each other (with exceptions) and S2000 drivers at other S2000 drivers (with exceptions), but not at each other. It is weird when I am in the Miata and pass an S2000, I want to wave so bad, but I know if I do, I will get "The Snub." So, I keep my hands on the wheel and abide by the self-imposed caste system.
