Guess that means no more pre-showings

Well, it was a good event while it lasted! Maybe they'll be able to work something out in the future.

 

oh well, we paid for food and got a free movie, so if we lost the free movie then we still paid for food and didn't lose out. Just sucks this happened.

 

so these pre-showings are officially over?

 

I would expect so, I mean if they are saying it was illegal for the managers to do and jobs were lost, that pretty much says it. There should be some type of loophole pre-screening but I bet it involves the studios okaying it.

I doubt it... when you start dealing with the studios themselves and their reps, they don't play games or use scare tactics.

 

Yep, shit has hit the fan with the movie nights. 4 managers were terminated. It wasn't just our group though. They had other prescreenings going on also. This movie was just that big and got out of hand. I feel really awful. I spoke to the manager that I knew and she told me it wasn't my fault, but I still feel bad. I didn't know we were doing anything wrong though. I was told we had permission from the GM since we were helping them fund raise for the Children's Miracle Network, but I think he was "let go" also.

 

Don't feel bad Wynn, wasn't your fault man. Money was going to a good cause and you were told everything was ok. Everybody that knows you knows you are a stand up guy and would do anything in your power to help others and this shouldn't really be a big deal. We got some good movies in, money went to a good cause and it just got so big the big wigs got wind and shut it down. I think we all look forward to more BNC nights and events!
