When the sun came out today, I thought this will be a good day to drive, since I hadn't had the S out in a week. I pulled out of the driveway and saw all the left over salt on the road and pulled her back in the garage. Too cold and too nasty for the S, she deserves better.

Spring cannot come to soon!

 

All you need is 55 or 60 degrees and a little sun. You'll have the top down before you know it.

 

I am anxiously awaiting those days! I have had her for 3 weeks and never drove her with the top down.

 

Yep, I know how you feel.. I bought mine in December of '02 and it was a while before I enjoyed top down driving. I had never owned or driven a convertible before, so I was real anxious to get to it.

Early spring/fall is the best time. Get's too hot most time in the summer. But then there's always summer evenings

I drove mine yesterday and today and would have had the top down if it weren't for the road spray in areas which brings me to a new thread I will start...

 

Yea, the road spray is what I don't like as well. It seems like TDOT dropped tons of solution on the roads prior to the storm. I guess overkill is safer than not enough. We need a good warm rain to rinse it off, but they may be awhile.

 

I don't drive mine in the threat of snow, real snow, or for a couple days after snow.

I lived in WI several years ago and witnessed first hand how destructive road chemicals are.

 

Having never owned a S before, what is the lowest temp that you can drive topdown without running the heater? In the vette coupe you were enclosed somewhat and shielded from a lot of wind, but it appears that will not be the scenario in the S.

 

As long as my ears don't hurt - I will drive with the top down. I have driven mine in 20-30 degree weather - no problem, but I do/DID have my heater on. Got to.
