TN, GA, AL Mountain Run....Oct 23.
This is a 3 state mountain drive, that will start in East Ridge, TN and end in Chickamauga, GA. More info below.
There will be a drive in the N. Ga/S. TN mountains on Saturday 10/23/2010 (3 weeks from this coming weekend).
If you're interested in going, please post up.
Also, please be aware that club rules will apply, so please take the time to familiarize yourself with them, if you haven't already done so. This includes the tech inspection.
If your car is not in shape, you'll want to take care of that before the drive. We don't want anyone sliding off the road because of bad tires, or the wrong size tires, etc.
Meeting location and time for the drive up to Ringgold will be posted later, so please check this thread regularly.
Please don't forget to bring radios. If you don't have one, most of us have the Motorola TalkAbout series. They're fairly inexpensive and have sub-channels, which you will need. You will also want a headset for the radio. It's really hard to hear without it. Don't forget sunscreen and water.
Please understand that this will be a moderately spirited drive - not a race. Save that for the track.
Club Driving Rules
When:
Saturday, October 23rd, immediately after breakfast (see itenerary below).

Planned Itenerary:
1.) Meet/Caravan to Ringgold/
For Gwinnett folks, that at the BP station at Pleasant Hill & I-85 @ 6:30 AM
Perhaps we can meet up with everyone else on Barrett Parkway somewhere and the whole group can then caravan up to Ringgold.
2.) Breakfast: Wally's Restaurant 8:30 AM
For those who plan on meeting at Wally's the exit is East Ridge 1B.
So you will actually go past the 1st East Ridge exit and under the overpass,
loop around back over 75 and Wally's is through the light and on the right.
That is 75N, just stating the obvious.
3.) Drive (see route link above)
4.) Lunch: Randy's Restaurant
5.) After lunch head up to Cloudland Canyon to enjoy a wonderful view of the mountain valley(for the lazy people) or take the hike down to the river in the canyon(2 mile trip)
After that go through the Chickamauga Battle field for some pics next to actual civil war cannon and monuments.
