Default S2000 brakes

I have been looking into upgrading my brakes sence the day i got my s2000.
Most big brake upgrades are ranging from $1500-$5000. I have heard about people moding tl or rl brakes to make a big brake kit. What do you guys think? what route I should go? has anyone seen a tl or rl upgrade on the s2000?

What's wrong with the brakes on your car?

You looking to upgrade to compliment the looks of the car? That's probably the only reason I would do it. The oem brake setup is pretty decent for the S2000..

agreed....unless your taking your car to the track a BBK is purely cosmetic. If your looking for just a bit more oumph out of them try Hawk pads, stainless lines and some Dot 4 brake fluid. If your still looking for a BBK keep an eye out in the FS section. You can normally find a decent set for around 1000.

1 thing I find odd comparing my Prelude brakes on my Accord to my S2k brakes is the size of the brake pads. My s2k rotors are a full 1" bigger yet the pad is 1/2 the size of the pad used w/ my prelude brakes...

get the T1R kit, or the J's Racing, or the Project Mu, or the Endless, or even just Spoon Monoblocks

there are lots of options, none of them are cheap.

as for stopping that 600hp, without going with one of the above, you'll be hardpressed to get a better setup than oem w/ better pads, lines, etc as kyle mentioned.

Youd be surprised how well the OEM setup with GOOD TIRES and stop any amount of power. Get new fluid, pads, and lines and youll be stopping on a dime.

Ballin' on a budget. HOLLA!

600 hp is a lot . Gotta pay to play when it comes to supporting parts though i guess.
