Ive been eyeing them myself but Im hell bent on some AP2 v.1,2, or 3 wheels, or an exhaust.

No, the 08 wheels either CR or regular. The non-CR's aren't in the gunmetal finish. So they're the AP2 v.3 wheel

The CR wheels don't do anything for me.

Good choice. Retain windshield tape or no?

I think I'll just leave the tape on. This has been discussed many times in the past and after seeing the results first hand I have to agree with the majority (especially for NFR).
Top down with the tape off looks great.
Top up with the tape off . . . meh.
Hard top on with the tape off doesn't look nearly as good.
Some opinions differ but I suggest eyeballin' it in real life yourself before pulling it off for two reasons. I understand it's a real bitch to get back on if you change your mind and on a few cars it has been discovered after pulling the tape that the finish underneath was not that - finished.
This has been a bigger problem with the eariler models.

And in regards to the wheels, Im a HUGE fan of simple 5 spoke wheels (ex: my old Civic). The ap2 v.3's really do it for me. Although I love the 10 spoke v.1's a lot as well.

I like the 5 spoke also but the 06/07 OEM wheel looks great IMO.
I will probably wind up with a set of these eventually.

I like them as well. Whatever I can get a better deal on is what Ill get. Too bad the Ap1 wheels arent 17". They would undoubtedly be my favorite.
