If they do total it, you can always buy it back from them and with the money, mod the shit out of it. You should even have money left over.

I wouldn't hack that exhaust. Just sell it on the boards and pick up a new one.
Glad you're OK enough to be sad about all that happened. As with lots of stuff, things could have been far worse!

You know, Arthur, Pete brings up a very good point... For less than an OEM exhaust (which is what the insurance company will pay for), I *do* have that Magnaflow Ti (Ti cans only as you recall) exhaust sitting around still...

If you do put it back together I will have the door glass available in a week or two if that helps.

If they total it I would probably buy it back and part it out or something. Start fresh with a fresh car. I think that cars 9 lives are up. Plus once something gets hit that hard they are never the same.

Im with Dark_Sub, just go ahead and get another S.

My wife wrecked her S just in the front driver side and it was around 7K in damages, but it was never the same. Just with either bad paint, other things breaking down the road and everything.

I would stay with a AP1 if it was me though. Good luck on everything.

yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll total it. either way, I'm buying it back. now whether or not I'll get another S is a different story. I might repair this one, but it all depends on what the damage is. We'll see what insurance does. Ideally I'd like to be able to buy it back and then buy another ap1 and transfer all the aftermarket parts over that are good and part out the rest. or build a track whore out of it... oh the decisions.
there really wasn't too much impact to the accident as I went over the ditch at a higher speed so it just sorta glided to level ground and through that fence which is the only reason I think they might not total it.

As for the exhaust, I really want a custom 70rr on the corolla. But thanks anyways trevor, not one for duals.

Buy it back and keep the motor/trans for your Corolla

nah dude. I have an f20 for the corolla already. Building it for boost.

I think what I'm going to do is hope that it's totaled, buy it back for basically nothing, build it as a track whore, and buy another AP1 for a street car.
Have two and a half S's.
