Default Rear plastic window

Well, earlier this week I figured id get around to attempt to buff out some of the Haze in my rear plastic window. Dumb me, tried to fit the buffer through to the back to begin the buffing and ended up tearing the plastic window as I slid the buffer back there So I went to honda today, and for a new top plus labor is about 2300 and they qouted me on just replacing just the window at about 1300 (250 window and rest labor!).....still sort of steep. Is there any smaller shops out there that work on these sort of things?? that dont charge an arm and a leg.

You can get a replacement Robbins top with a glass window for ~600.00. Also, the classifieds sell used OEM tops for much cheaper than Honda will.

yea, just that labor on these things is bad, the tec there was like it was the most time consuming thing on the s2000, he said they could pull the engine and tranny and put it together quicker than they could replace the little window 2 day job he said.

Thats crazy that its that hard to install one in. When the tec said that just replacement window was 250, i was like this wont be so bad, then he told me how much labor was I was like do you really have to take apart the WHOLE car to change the just the window??? Apparently they pull out the seats, panels and a whole lotta other stuff. O well, il have to figure it out pretty soon tho. thx

I think I paid about $1300 for my Robbins top and install. I'll check when I get home.

Yep. $1300 + tax. Kyle Wilson Upholstery & Trim (423-718-9752). They do excellent work.
