if you want to see the latest thing in car innovation, look to the general public. all these "little guys" who are more brilliant than any of the "big guys" would ever imagine being come up with these incredible ideas but they never make it anywhere as discussed above.

There is a guy up the street from me that built his own electric car, truck-S10, and has been driving it for 10 years now. Tops out just over 70 mph and cost less than $2 a week to recharge the batteries when needed. He can't drive very far without a re-charge but for years, to and from teaching high school was no problem.

Now he has built a chevy blazer as a hydrogen powered car. He is building it for MTSU and should be there tomorrow. I checked it out the other night. Under the hood is a hydrogen powered generator to recharge the batteries that power the electric motor power train. Most of it was over my head but I think the set up is as I just described. I thought it was cool but I still rather drive the S!!

Anybody watch the debates tonight? 'bama choked on the foreign policy bits. Invading Pakistan to "kill Osama bin Laden?" I suppose one can't expect that much who's only been in D.C. since 2005.

The debates make me wanna puke! They never really answer the questions, and just spend 1.5 hours spewing their bullshit over and over again!! The winner is the one who gets everyone to take the biggest bites to shit and swallow!! I wish a redneck would run for President! Then the debates could be on Springer!!!!

It is all garbage!! The Republicans failed me this year with McCain!! We need a strong young candidate!!

My observations:

Tom Brokaw is a bitch. It was his job to keep them on time, and he should have cut them off and moved on. Instead he chose to eat up more time whining about it after each speaker.

The debate was about what I expected, 2 hours of each candidate not trying to say something that would kill their run, and not really answering anything. Take out the repetition and it could have been done in under an hour.

Obama came across much more smooth, if not arrogant. McCain came across as bit childish a times. (lame jokes, complaining when Obama asked to address)

McCain's "that one" slip reminded me of the SNL debate sketch when Biden says "Joe Biden is better than that. I repeat, Joe Biden is better...(pointing to Palin) than THAT."

Oh, and yea for Belmont!

They do have a redneck running and that debate was the best.
