That is religious extremism you are referring to - not their faith as a whole.

The majority of the Islamic ppl are scared of these extremists and do not stand against them or even speak out against them, thus they live scared and oppressed lives in fear of the corrupt leaders that have taken control of the country in the name of allah.

I can't argue that, just be glad we have a supposed separation of church & state here or we could like that with some nut job telling us what to do 'cause the bible said so...
In Islamic led countries you don't have that freedom. You don't even have the freedom to be atheist or agnostic. This mentality is so caveman you would think Geico would get rich with thier caveman ad's.
These leaders don't want their ppl to become educated or have a choice because they may choose something better.

again that is generalizing their faith based on one group's actions. gawd I can't believe I'm defending religion.
I know there have been some crazy Christians killing off some abortionists and stuff as well as some hindus setting themselves on fire but what other religion has even come close to this body count that Islam has stacked up over the years? They have been fighting Jihad since Mohammad's death and still keep sending ppl strapped with bombs into coffee shops.
Another cool thing about us here in the US. We, you and I, can have different view points and discuss it, maybe even argue a little but still respect each others rights to have an opinion without it coming to civil war.
