Anyone here familiar with the Paducah area? I just read an article on their "Artist Relocation Program" where they're offering homes (in need of repair, of course) to artists at well-below-market rates in an effort to attract atrisans to the area.

Not that I'm seriously considering it, but I like to dream about dropping my day job and persuing fine-art nature photography full time. Heck, these days I like to just dream about dropping my day job period!

Anyone familiar enough with Paducah to tell me that if you'd ever raise a family there?

 

I know where Paducah is..been there a couple times. it doesn't seem like a bad place to me. I know some members have friends that live up there. Hopefully they will respond. If not I might be able to dig up some info for ya.

Photography is such a great release...I do it on the side too and enjoy every minute of it. Good Luck if you decide on moving anywhere close to Nashville...and your more than welcome here in Music City.

It's actually more of something that's "nice to think about" rather than something that's really going to happen.
