I had it done before the SC was installed. Seemed like good insurance. From what I understand it's most critical for cylinder 4 but if you're dropping the oil pan you might as well do all four.

i have a mid to late year 02 (if i remember correctly) so no need for me to do it. Id love to know as well though

I was scared off by stories of cross threading the new bolts. Plus, it is illegal for stock class racing.

Short and sweet they squirt oil into the cylinder on the compression and exhaust strokes. The original bolts have two slots; the updated ones have four.

Wow Jason that seems awfully picky. I see no mechanical advantage but I guess when they say stock they mean stock.
