Official Music City Dragon Run-Spring Rally
MUSIC CITY DRAGON RUN SPRING 2014 RALLY
Dates MAY 3rd/4th
BRYSON CITY WEATHER
Meet at 630am, gassed and ready to go at the Chick-fil-a in Providence shopping center (Mount Juliet just off I-40), we'll grab food and then leave at 7 SHARP. Should arrive in Marysville around 11 Eastern time and 11-1130 Start the first leg of the drive!
If you DO NOT have my number, PM me and I'll get it to you so you can let me know if you're running a few minutes late to the rendezvous point.
Routes will be determined as we nail down other details associated with the trip, i.e. lodging, etc.

Disclaimer
Treat this trip like a track day.
Check fluids
Check brakes
Make sure your battery is decent!!
Check tires
Check belts
Ensure all components in engine bay are secure e.g. battery tray, fluid reservoirs etc.
Remove unnecessary junk from driving area, stuff will fly around!
Do your best to ensure your car is ready, you don't want to be the one that holds up the group. (Sorry guys.... )
If you show up with bald tires and have a flat during the trip we may just leave you behind.
If your car isn't ready don't come.
Don't get hammered the night before, these roads are dangerous at normal driving speeds. You will need to be on your toes for this event.
Be smart and don't drive beyond your limits.
Don't cross the double yellow. Seriously!!
Look through the corners, your car will follow your eyes.
If the lead car goes down a dirt road don't follow!

In the past we have stayed at the Ridgetop Motel, in Bryson City, NC -
Website is HERE and their number is 828-488-6335.
We'll have to keep an eye on the Treehouses in Robbinsville as a different option for lodging, or we can come up with something entirely different. I'm good either way, just don't want to spend a small fortune.
Post up on your Attending/Not Attending Status and I'll update accordingly.

Count me in! I'll just stay in touch and meet you guys on the way to Maryville.
And good note about the car following your eyes. That being said, don't look off the mountain on the outside lefts into the mountain.
Also, a tip for any nighttime runs that might happen, use the headlights of the car in front of you for the best visibility, your peripherals should fill in the rest. You'll see what I mean. Do whatever's comfortable for you, even if it's going 30 mph. You will have fun regardless.
