With the huge price cut people will be willing to drop ties with their current carriers to move. Especially since they've enacted the pro-rated term. fee's with your contracts. It's also a big step considering how cheap the phone is.
Your typical 3g smartphone is 400$ w.o. a contract. $199 is stupid cheap for what you're getting.
