I don't get student discounts on shit at my school.
If anything our rates are higher b/c we go there.

You should get student purchase rates through educational services like journeyed.

As for purchasing software. I can't say that I'm an advocate of purchasing most software packages for personal use. You can find just about anything you want online with very little trouble. Although I would get real versions of windows and office.

I have an open version of office 2000, it has an IU license which means unlimited installs. Dunno when we will see each other next but youre welcome to install it anytime.

Otherwise I'd just get a copy through journeyed.com.
