Melissa just rented a movie from Redbox - I think that just killed Netflix for good.

we don't have a Blu-ray player. Netflix movies just ended up on the coffee table unopened more than often. So we killed that part & just did the streaming thing on x-box. That was still $7.00 a month. In Redbox terms that's 7 movies we're paying for & not crap like the Human Centipede

LoL, I don't watch TV so I watch seasons of whatever on streaming. Occasionally they have a good title but a LOT of the film festival winners and foreign hit titles are on watch instantly. I do have a blu-ray and cringe at watching regular DVD's now. If you're not in the know or in the know but don't have it in your home, don't get a blu-ray player! It will RUIN you forever both in picture and sound (if you have a HT setup).

I'm not a big fan of buying anything that takes up space in the way of CD's, DVD's or let alone some new format like Blue Ray.

Well, it depends on how much time you have to watch movies, what you watch and how you watch it I guess. I rented 276 movies from blockbuster one year when I had 2 jobs and was single (this was 6 years ago).
