(doesn't sound fun, but I swear to god it is)
we used to call petsmart from the aquatic critter and ask either a) REALLY obscure questions that we really didn't expect them to know, which we never got any kind of answer for, or b) REALLY basic questions that anyone in a position to take care of reptiles should know.
most of the time they would make up answers for the basic questions. if we were really bored, we'd call them out just to see how they handle it.
it was always hilarious to listen to the frantic turning of pages in the 5th grade level books they use as reference.

key is to put it in the mounds. BUT I think that as long as it's in the tunnel, you'll be golden. just has to be somewhere that the mole will find it.
mounds would probably work best though because when you cover them up, you can tell if they've been disturbed. just as an indicator.

they did such a number on my yard last summer it's hard to tell where the mounds are - I am curious if they all took off or if they're gearing up for more destruction now...
